Dance the Word
Then the people rejoiced, for they had offered
willingly, because with a loyal heart they had
offered willingly to the LORD;
and
King David also rejoiced greatly.

"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, He will Dwell with them, and they shall
be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God."
(Revelation 21:3) Dwell means to reside, to permanently
stay, abide, remain.

God dwells in Zion
"For the Lord has chosen Zion. He hath desired it for His habitation. This is my rest forever, here I will dwell; for I have desired it."
(Psalm 132:13-14 Amp) The first mention of Zion in Scripture is found in 2 Sam 5:7.

God loves Zion (Psalm 78:68; 87:2)

Zion is called  "The perfection of beauty." (Psalm 50:2)

Zion is called "The Joy of the whole Earth." (Psalm 48:1-3)

Zion is referred to as the place of worship, the place of God's presence.
Our hearts are a living sanctuary for God's presence. We are Zion, the place prepared for His dwelling, the place where he loves.

The strength of Zion is her garments. (Isaiah 52:1-2)
(a) The garment of salvation (Isaiah 61-10)
(b) The garment (robe) of righteousness (Isaiah 61:10)
(c) The garment of Praise (Isaiah 61:3)

There is a travail in Zion to bring forth children.
This is a place of intercession. Sometimes we need to birth people in Zion through prayer.

We should Dance in Zion!  God did not find or chose David at a Dance Conference, but He chose him out from amongst the sheep.
David worshipped wherever he was, in good and bad times.

Everything we do is to be for the purpose of worshipping and pleasing Him. Whether we dance at a Dance Concert, church service
or at an amusement park, we cannot focus on pleasing the audience. Do not focus on how to get the audience to respond to your
choreography. God receives dances that are birthed out of Zion- not dances that are birthed out of competition, pride,  jealousy, or
strife. God is not in our trivial mess that sometimes springs up in the dance ministry.

Zion is the birthplace of Prophetic Worshippers. Are you dancing in Zion? Are you movements perfectly choreographed, or are you
such a perfectionist that there is no place for Zion?  Is there no place to prophetically worship?

We are called to come to Zion, to be born in Zion and to make Zion our dwelling place. God's blessings spring out of Zion!
(Psalm 87:7; 128:5.)

ON THE MOVE: DANCE EVENT REPORT
by Yvonne Owens
Anybody want to worship? First of all how do you do that? Well, if you attended the International Worship Symposium
2006 held at Living Waters Christian Fellowship in Pasadena CA, hosted by David & Elaine Fischer- founders of Living
Word Institute of Worship- you would not have to ask the question.

It was all about seeing Jesus lifted higher in every nation as Praise 2006 began Thursday evening, January 26th at Mott
Auditorium on the campus of the William Carey International University. Delegates from California, plus 40 other states
and nations outside the US were told to . . . “let God break your heart" . . . "we are all anointed" . . . "don’t use your
limitations as an excuse not to worship Him"... and to "tune your ear to hear, God is speaking." This evening concluded
with Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream” speech presented in mime by Todd Farley’s Mimeistry International to tell
the congregation of attendees that the natural progression of God’s love to us is for us to love one another and that
worship is an equalizer wherein freedom for all (nations, creeds, and people) is accessible.

All manner of praise went forth that night in preparation for the next day (Friday, Jan. 27th) that began in the morning at
Living Waters. Everybody gathered in the sanctuary in praise and worship before being dismissed to their choice of
workshops.

The workshops included biblical studies, dance and movement, mime, worship leading, vocals, flags, tambourines, hand
signing, and worship band tracks for at least three levels of skill and ability. There were symposiums for the youth and
the children.

The Symposium concluded on Saturday, giving those who could not make the previous day a chance to purchase all
kinds of worship paraphernalia from vendors, receive instruction from anointed faculty, get guidance from experienced
ministers, and participate in practical demonstration in worship of the King.

The emphasis of Praise 2006 was international to include every nation and every generation. During the evening
praise, those under 30 years of age were invited to the floor first to participate in praise and then the "elders" (if they
were bold enough). As the music played, and the lyrics were sung, dances went forth, children waved their flags to the
rhythms of the beat. Banners were carried across the floor and streamers soared in the air. God was praised in English,
Spanish, Farsi, and Tagalog.

To borrow from one of the numerous songs that were sung, this was truly. .

Dancing With The STAR
by Sherry Traylor

1. Expressive praise dancing should always start off with a prayer life and worship as a lifestyle.
We are on the front line and must be Dancing Intercessors!

"Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a
righteous man avails much.
"  (James 5:16)

2. The Holy Spirit is our Guide. Dancers must rely on the Holy Spirit to lead us at all times.

"But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your
remembrance all that I have said to you."
(John 14:26)

3. Do Ministry with a Passion!

"And whatsoever ye do, in word or in deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him"
(Colossians 3:17)

4. From Glory to Glory- Next level ministry. Know your anointing …

"When Aaron gave out the instructions to the whole company of Israel, they turned to face the wilderness. And there it was: the
Glory of God visible in the Cloud."
(Exodus 16:10)

5. Know the right move! Stay Alert. Move when God says move- Don’t miss your blessings!

"And watch; if the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in the dances, then come out of the vineyards and seize each man his
wife from the daughters of Shiloh, and go to the land of Benjamin." (
Judges 21:21)

6. Know your Seasons!
"A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance." (Ecclesiastes 3:4)

7. Rebuild and Re-focus
"Again I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin Israel! Again you shall adorn yourself with timbrels, and shall go forth in the
dance of the merrymakers."
(Jeremiah 31:4)

If we don’t get right the first time, we can start all over! REBUILD your Dance Ministry, REPENT, RESUME your position, and take
more dance lessons. With God as the lead Partner we WIN THE CONTEST!!!
Dancing With Distractions
by Sally Reynolds
In every ministry there exists a danger of distraction that will ultimately dissuade you from accomplishing what God has mandated
you to do. There is always the threat of some malady that will slow you down just enough to hamper your ministry, if not cripple it
altogether. The easiest situation would be that the distraction in question would be from an obvious, outside enemy. You could
adequately prepare yourself for each attack, each onslaught, or each attempted sabotage. In the presence of a demonic attack, we
fast, we pray, we search the scriptures earnestly petitioning God for strength and answers to survive. However, what if the attack or
the distractions come from those who should understand your ministry, your vision, and the call of God on your life? What if, as
David said, you discovered that your kinsmen and loved ones are the chiefest of attackers? Those who stand with you weekly, who
attend your rehearsals, who know your deepest desires, what if they are the ones who distract you the most? Aside from all of the
hurt and the pain that this obviously would cause, let us briefly look to the Word of God for some answers to this heartbreaking
dilemma.

Our greatest example was and always will be Jesus Christ. The bible states in Hebrews 4:15b that Jesus was all points tempted
as we are yet without sin. He also had to deal with distractions and demonic attacks against his ministry from close associates
and yet remained focused enough to complete his task. Jesus had to deal with Judas. Judas was a distraction.

The Presence of Distractions
This Judas was Jesus' chief distraction, for he was with him constantly. Judas- chosen as one of the original 12 disciples. Judas-
the treasurer who handled Jesus' financial affairs. He walked with Jesus throughout the entire tenure of his ministry and never
understood what Jesus' goal and mission was. He missed it constantly. He never understood the vision of Jesus' ministry nor did
he under gird it at any time. However, Jesus KNEW Judas' mission and his motive and yet he was never dissuaded. In John 7:70-
71 Jesus states, "
Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?  This spake he of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for
he it was that should betray him, being ONE OF THE TWELVE."
The irony is that Jesus speaks this statement a full 6 months
before Judas' betrayal and the Crucifixion. The beauty is that Jesus never alerted the rest of the disciples of Judas' identity nor his
ideology. Look for your distractions- for their presence is known, their presence is felt, their presence is imminent. Identify them
quickly but quietly.

The Practice of Distractions
Every distraction by virtue of its nature is going to exhibit behavior that will impede your progress. Once the distraction has been
identified, the immediate task after identification of its presence is to identify its practice. Nothing your distraction does should
surprise you. All throughout the New Testament, Judas had the immediate description-- the one who would betray Jesus. This was
his practice. Throughout the life of Jesus' ministry, Judas could not and would not agree nor would he support any of Jesus' goals.
John 12:1-8 records the occasion where Jesus was in the home of Mary and Martha after raising their brother Lazarus from the
dead. In an act of worship and adoration, Mary anoints Jesus' feet with precious ointment and washes them with her hair. Judas
retorts that this money should not have been wasted on Jesus' feet but it should have been cashed in and saved for the poor.
Verse 8 is clear on Judas' true motives. He cared not for the poor, nor did he care for Jesus' well being. He was a thief and a
betrayer and committed constant acts of embezzlement. Jesus was not surprised because he knew Judas' practice. We should
not be so easily hurt by the actions of those who have identified themselves as distractions. They are there to distract us. Their
actions, their motives, their words, and their heart's intents are congruent with their mission. Distraction is their practice.

Good News……..
Our distractions have no real value but to point us to the next level of anointing and ministry. Had it not been for Judas, Jesus
would have not have experienced Calvary. Your distractions will ultimately pass and kill themselves. Let it work its mission in your
life. It won't last long. Know their presence, know their practice, but be assured of their passing. Psalm 37:1-2 comforts us by
saying,
"Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down
like the grass, and wither as the green herb."

Context:  Ecclesiastes 3:4

exallomai (Strong's #1814)
to spring forth:- leap up

Context: Acts 3:8
So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the
temple with them- walking, leaping, and praising God.
The balletic stance in which the legs are rotated outward so that the legs (and feet) point in opposite directions. A dancer adopting this
position is said to be "turned out." Usage varies, but most people seem to measure the degree of turnout by the angle between the foot
and the mid-saggital plane of the body. The ideal, with both feet in a straight line, is thus 90 degrees of turnout. Turnout must begin at the
hip. Forcing the feet and letting everything else follow puts severe strain on the joints, especially the knees, and defeats the purpose of
turnout, which is to rotate the thigh bone to permit greater extension, especially to the side.
