| 'PRESENT' YOUR BODIES (Rom 12:1) We are at a time where we must truly seek the will of God. The world is watching us; they want to see if we are for real! There have been so many dance conferences, workshops, seminars, dance concerts, etc… What do we have to offer when we hit the platform? Once we leave the stage, what is our worship lifestyle like? Are we prayed up? Is our ministry on one accord? Was there a harvest won for the Kingdom? As I spend time in prayer, this is what I am asking myself. We should come before God as a beautifully wrapped gift (present). Everything in us should be new! How many times have we read or heard Romans 12:1? It tells us to present our bodies a living sacrifice! It means to bring or introduce into the presence (our presents) of someone especially of superior rank or status. God is that Superior that we are dancing for! Our presentation, is on display, we are showing forth his character by demonstration in movement. We are showing our gifts (presents in His presence) before God and His people, all over the world that they may come running asking, "What must I do to be saved?" We must have a fresh anointing “Like the Dew in the Morning.” Our sins must be behind us because our flesh cannot glory in His presence! True repentance should have been dealt with in advance, so that when we dance before Him and His people, He will be pleased with what we are imparting. Let’s weigh the pros and cons of using our gifts for the Lord or "self:" |

| Dancing Through the FIRE |
| Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” says the Lord of Hosts. But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like launderers’ soap. He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the Lord an offering in righteousness. (Malachi 3:1-3) |

| While in my quiet time with my Daddy, seeking Him for guidance and direction, I received a word from the Lord regarding fire in my dance life during this season. It was such a powerful and timely word as sometimes in ministry, we go through many storms, changes, and stresses – some of us are in the fire so deep and it’s getting hotter by the minute, yet we remain. Some of us get out of it too early, and we’re flawed. Sometimes we welcome the fire, sometimes we don’t – but through it all, the key is to do all that you can, and when you’ve done that, you just stand and watch the move of the Lord. He will deliver you! My dance blog reflected the following excerpt: Fire is such a destructive and unpleasant thing. Fire makes one uncomfortable, uneasy, and most importantly unrelenting. The determination of man to escape the grips of fire is a sight to behold, but how many do you know who will welcome the fire? Fire is more than just destruction. In the fire you find yourself being built up. In the fire is where the greatest creations known to man were made. In great fire and pressure is how you get diamonds. Gold is purified, the lead is taken out and the essence of the mineral shines untainted after the fire. Water is undrinkable without the fire. Meat can be poisonous before the fire. Iron and steel cannot be shaped, molded or formed before the fire. I know that in the end, none of the things mentioned were harmed in the fire. None of the things mentioned ceased to exist after the fire. It may have changed in shape, form or appearance. However, the end result is still better than where it started. This reminds me of three young men who welcomed the fire. While in the fire, they caught the vision and praised GOD for their fire. The LORD showed Himself faithful and stood in the fire with the young men, the chains and things that bound these young men were destroyed but none of them were even touched by the fire. They were magnified through the fire. Oh, how I welcome every fire in my life! Bob Sorge in his book The Fire of Delayed Answers says, “If you’re feeling the fire of God in your life, cheer up; it means that God is coming to you. This is the fire that precedes Him” (page 15). The relevant question for the sacred artists in the fire is ”Will you remain and wait for your answers, your call your assignment? Will you submit to the will of God for your life, hearing from Adonai Himself, or leave because the fire is too great? I say unto you, STAY! Let your answer be yes. You can’t be the end result …”A vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.” (2 Timothy 2:21) "Lord, from today forth, I promise to praise you while in my fire. I promise to lift up your mighty name. I ask you to help me remember that you will never destroy me in the fire You allow in my life; I KNOW you stand in with the fire with me - You are faithful to Your word, oh GOD. Teach me to keep my eyes and mind on You, hold my heart so that I might not sin against thee. For You are my breath, my love and my joy. You are everything to me. I thank You, oh LORD, for giving me breath this morning. I thank You for the activities of my limbs. I thank You for being able to open my mouth and praise Your name. I thank You for letting my ears hear and mine eyes to see, shoes on my feet and clothes on my back. Father, someone forgot to thank You, but I ask You to allow me to stand in the gap and thank You for them. For You alone deserve all the praise, honor and glory. You are so worthy JESUS. Your sacrifice alone is enough to bring about a shout in the camp. Your love alone is enough to bring every man to their knees. Your grace alone is enough to bring all men to repentance, and I thank You. May my life, my offering unto You be righteous and pure. I praise YOU, I glorify YOU. I love YOU. In JESUS NAME, AMEN!" . |

| "When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things." 1 Corinthians 13:11 |
| I’ve had the opportunity to be a child and speak, think, and understand like one but as I get and have gotten older there were a lot of “things” that I put away. Sometimes when I read this scripture the “things” that come to mind are baby dolls and toy cars but it goes way beyond that. I’ve had to put attitudes, actions, mindsets, and a host of other things away. There have been a lot of things that I’ve been through and experienced in my own life and with my family. I’ve under- gone many changes and had tremendous growth in countless ways that go beyond my physical appearance. I don’t have time to get into them all. I just want to glide over a few things… As a preacher’s daughter I’ve been exposed to countless situations and much is expected of me. When I was 14 years old, I had to make some serious decisions as to whether or not I would be saved and live holy or be “churched” and lukewarm like a lot of my peers. Although I’ve been involved in church my entire life (before I was even birthed), being “churched” wasn’t getting it. I won’t be judged according to how well I can clap, how fast I can shout, or how long I can testify in service. I love the church and I love my family (biological and church family). Please don’t misunderstand me- I am not saying the above is what we believe, will get us to heaven, or allow us to see Jesus, but there are people who do play around (we all know the 'churchianity' type)! When I gave my life to Christ, I knew I was saved but I wasn’t living the lifestyle of worship that I should have. Yet I thought I was alright because I read the Word and prayed. My parents were/are ministers and I listened to gospel music, but that was about it. I wasn’t sincerely serving and living for the Lord – let alone trying to grow closer to Him. I was a typical child of my generation, doing what a lot of PK’s & CK’s (Preachers Kids & Church Kids) did. I had one foot in the church and one foot out. * I’ve learned not to stay in the same position of self-pity, denial, justification, and selfishness but to get up and repent. * I’ve learned that people are people and I can’t put my trust in them. I must put and keep my trust in God. * I’ve learned that every day is a brand new day of mercy, joy, growth, learning and another opportunity to experience and enjoy the eternal life that I’ve been given. * I’ve learned in my 17 years of being on this earth and 8 years of home schooling that no matter what Oprah, Dr. Phil, Tyra, or Jimmy Kimmel say, nor any other person of high degree of publicity and influence says, I KNOW AND BELIEVE the Bible is right, God is real, Jesus is the Son of God, He died, rose again, is ABSOLUTELY coming back, and that He loves me! Therefore, I don’t worry about what school I’ll go to, what I’ll do with my life, or who I’ll be with- be it friends, business relationships, or even marriage. And lastly to add to this list, but definitely not the last thing in my heart is… * No matter where I am, God is with me as my Strength, my Shield, my Help, my Savior, and my Heavenly Father!! Keep the Faith, Keep Fighting, and Keep Worshipping. |

In its simplest definition “net worth” is the total assets minus total liabilities. Your net worth carries a value and in order to maintain a high value, your assets must outweigh the liabilities. The Internet has allowed us to ‘cast our nets’ farther and wider than we have in the past. Frequently, fishing and evangelism were paralleled in the Bible. When fishermen cast their nets, they threw out what was bad (increasing their net worth). As “fishers of men” we need to realize that our net carries value. In fact, making and mending nets was an important skill of fishermen in the ancient Near East. We now have the ability to cast our net into cyberspace, but maintaining its “net worth” requires the same type of attention the disciples afforded in Capernaum. |
In order to maintain your InterNET worth, you must remove the junk and reduce the liabilities. Let’s look at some examples: Social networking sites, such as MySpace, are increasingly being used to represent the Kingdom. Unfortunately, too many fishers of men are being phished! Phishing is a social engineering technique used to gain your personal information for use by a hacker at a later time at will! Here is an example of what could possibly happen (and has happened to others): 1. You receive an email to confirm your MySpace account information 2. You click on the link in the email, you are taken to a page that looks like the real thing 3. You enter your user name & password 4. You get the screen that says your “login information is incorrect”. What you don’t see is behind the scenes, your login information was stored in the hackers personal database. 5. You are directed to the “real” MySpace page, you re-enter your login information and think nothing of it 6. Days later, your friends are complaining of “spam messages” you are posting. Of course you didn’t do this…the hacker is using your account. Your net worth has been diminished. Social Engineering on MySpace is annoying at best. Now replay the same phishing scenario, except this time the Phisher isn’t after your MySpace account, it is your bank site and the information requested is your social security number, bank account, password, you get the idea… Phishing is very popular, but only works when users provide information. Being alert and taking a few extra precautions will help protect you: Perhaps you don’t have a phone number you can use to validate. Do not click on the link in the email. Open the web browser and go directly to the website yourself. This will help ensure you are not on a fake site. If you think you’ve been phished, change your password IMMEDIATELY. Remember to update your Internet Browser and Anti-Virus software. Familiarize yourself with this tactic by reading more. Here is a more in-depth article: http://www. microsoft.com/protect/yourself/phishing/identify.mspx What is your 'net' currently worth to you? Are you willing to take the extra time to monitor and protect your information? I encourage everyone to examine their current ‘nets.’ Are you maintaining your net (effective evangelism)? Are you casting your net far and wide, removing the bad, working consistently, or have you taken on the modern bait-and-wait fishing approach? |
