Vol. 3 No. 6
Key Principles For a Holy Presentation
1. PRAY
Communicate with the One you are dancing with, ask your God how he desires your movements to minister to him.
1Thessalonians 5:17 - "Pray without ceasing."

2. REMOVE THY 'SELF'
Fast and see the Holy Spirit for creativity that will Glorify God. Romans 3:20 - "Therefore by the deeds of the law no
flesh will be justified in His sight."

3. HEAR
What is the Holy Spirit saying in your piece. He will lead and guide you.

4. SPEAK THE VISION TO YOUR MINISTRY
Communicate with your team about the vision of the dance. Hab 2:2 - "Then the Lord answered me and said: "Write the
vision and make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it."

5. SPEAK THE MESSAGE IN YOUR MOVEMENTS
Stick to the message in the song. Haggai 1:13 - "Then Haggai, the Lord's messenger, spoke the Lord's message to the
people, saying, 'I am with you, says the Lord.'"

6. GOING BEYOND THE LIMITS
Make sure your movements are not offending and remain a witness of what your ministry is about. 2 Corinthians 10:13
states, "We, however, will not boast beyond measure, but within the limits of the sphere which God appointed us." - A
sphere which especially includes you

7. MUSIC
If the song is secular make sure the beats don’t take over the message. "Now his older son was in the field. And as he
came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing." (Luke 15:25)  People will see and hear you.  When
youdance, who is it for?

8. PRAY and PRAY AGAIN.
John 3:30 - He must increase, but I must decrease.

The Spirit of Haman
by Rekesha Pittman
Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written
for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.
Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. No temptation
has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful,
who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the
temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

1 Corinthians 10:11-13 (NKJV)
Sometimes the Lord will give me a message to deliver that is not easy. This is one of those times. Last year, the Lord
revealed to me the practice of "planting flags" taking place with many ministries (
"X" Marks the Spot- December 2006).
This practice includes those who invite themselves to minister in various places to extend their resumes.  Books,
websites, and flooded itineraries do not equal "Sent by God."
There is another alarm ringing in the atmosphere that I must sound. ALERT!  God is Sovereign. Let us be careful not
to condemn our fellow dancers and ministries with which we do not agree.  When we become judge, jury and executioner
of those with which we may have "issues," we can begin to operate in what is called "The Spirit of Haman."

In the book of Esther, Haman's character is revealed and serves as an example to us of what NOT to do.  We can all
become Haman if we are not careful!  If you are suddenly promoted- PRAY!  If you feel you are the authority in a certain
area or subject matter- HUMBLE YOURSELF!  If you feel the urge to lay your stamp of approval or denial on the ministry
or work of another-
STOP RIGHT THERE!

RIght after Haman was promoted by King Ahasuerus in Esther Chapter 3, he began to think that he was worthy to be
praised.  After all, the king himself gave him his blessing!  How many of us have thought that we were important because
of the "names" we were affiliated with?
"Such and such said that I was anointed....  Prophetess so and so laid
her hands on me and said that I was called to the nations...  Bishop who's who personally ordained me...."

The trap is now set.

Here are some of the indicators of the spirit of Haman:

Desire to be Recognized/Honored
"When Haman saw that Mordecai did not bow or pay him homage, Haman was filled with wrath."  (Esther 3:5)

Have you ever been on program after ministry and anticipated the moment your name was to be called? "How loud and
how long will they clap for me?  Will they shout out my name?  Will they tell me how powerfully the Lord used me- His
chosen vessel for such a time as this?  Why did they not invite ME to speak at that conference?  I am a child of the
King!"
"Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up." (James 4:10)

Elitist Mentality
"But he disdained to lay hands on Mordecai alone, for they had told him of the people of Mordecai. Instead, Haman
sought to destroy all the Jews who were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus- the people of Mordecai."
(Esther 3:6)

Excuse me, but I am sick and tired of the "sorority mentality" that I see in some of our dance ministry circles!  Because
Mordecai did not bow down to Haman, Haman sought to banish all those who were affiliated with Mordecai!  This takes
me back to childhood scenarios: "I am not gonna be your friend if you are her friend.  I do not like her." Lord have mercy
on us right now!  I tell you this in love: Just because your relationship did not work out with someone else does not mean
that the other person is evil or not a child of God.  The Lord knows us better that we know ourselves.  Honestly, I love so
hard that if the Lord did not remove me from some of my past relationships, I would not be walking in my destiny right
now! I would still be holding onto
that partner, that dance ministry, that Pastor, that church, and be completely out of the
will of God!

Remember the children of Israel? This scripture always blesses me when I am rejected:
"But the LORD hardened
Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the children of Israel go."
(Exodus 10:20) The Lord wants to demonstrate His
power through you.  Do not worry about those that seem to turn their backs on you. Do not take it personally!  Stay in
the place of humility and do not allow your emotions to take over. God is working!

Elitists also think that you should do things EXACTLY the way that they would.  Look at Haman's comment here:
"Then
Haman said to King Ahasuerus, “There is a certain people scattered and dispersed among the people in all the
provinces of your kingdom; their laws are different from all other people’s, and they do not keep the king’s laws.
Therefore it is not fitting for the king to let them remain."
(Esther 3:8) I thank the Lord that I am fearfully and
wonderfully made!  This does not mean that we are not to follow Divine order.  This does mean that God has the option
to do as He sees fit.  Our merciful God can use anything and anybody. Just look at the donkey in 2 Peter 2:16:
"but he
was rebuked for his iniquity: a dumb donkey speaking with a man’s voice restrained the madness of the
prophet."
If You can use anything Lord, You can use (even) me!

Pride
"Then Haman told them of his great riches, the multitude of his children, everything in which the king had promoted him,
and how he had advanced him above the officials and servants of the king. Moreover Haman said, “Besides, Queen
Esther invited no one but me to come in with the king to the banquet that she prepared; and tomorrow I am again invited
by her, along with the king. Yet all this avails me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king’s gate.”
(
Esther 5:11-13)

It is not ironic that Haman's name means  "magnificent." (Strong's #2001) If we are not watchful, we can begin to believe
the hype concerning our own ministries. When we being to "read our own press" we can easily envision the glorious
heights to which we can rise- dancing far above the clouds- and everyone else! Lord help us not to be consumed with
our own progress and forget that others are called just as we are. We are
many members...

Are you wasting your time right now consumed with people?  Time is precious!  Invest that energy into doing the work
that the Lord has called
you to do.  Too often we may be tempted to impress people when telling them of all of the
conferences we are travelling to, the miracles that God worked through us, or our years of training and biblical studies.
Guess what? God does not care about that!  Are you doing His will and obeying Him? Ask for a Holy Ghost check up
right now!

Self-Destructive
"When Haman told his wife Zeresh and all his friends everything that had happened to him, his wise men and his wife
Zeresh said to him, “If Mordecai, before whom you have begun to fall, is of Jewish descent, you will not prevail against
him but will surely fall before him.”
(Esther 6:12)

Take heed unless you fall!  Refuse to let the enemy gain a foothold in your ministry.  Focus on the Lord and pleasing
your Father in heaven.  If the Lord has called you to be a watchman- WATCH!  He did not call you to be a "hangman."
Let us continue to take inventory regarding our motives in ministry.  Are your sharing a testimony that is really a veiled
noose to condemn another who may have hurt you in ministry?  Are you reacting to past hurt by rejecting anything and
everyone who may be associated with the one who hurt you?  Have we gotten to the point in ministry where we cannot
move beyond the hurt?

I pray that we kill all of the traits of Haman in our lives this instant.  I pray the Lord's forgiveness for every gallows that we
may have erected against one another.
"Heavenly Father, bring the high places in our lives low.  Re-turn us
Lord in every pirouette and pique turn.  Reveal to us in movement the
turning away from sin and the re-turn to righteousness. I pray that the
Lord fill every void, heal every hurt, and restore every prodigal ministry
back to the fold.  I pray right now that the Lord has washed your hands
and healed your heart so that the spirit of Haman is laid to rest in your
life and ministry... In Jesus name."

Dancing in My Father’s House
by Charmaine Hinds
As a small girl she danced with joy
With her Father at the beginning of every celebration
He needed not coax nor convince her
She laid her head on His chest at the slightest invitation

As a young woman she grew, she began to rebel
And soon her newfound independence caused her to stray
From the comforts and security of a loving home and Father
And she left it behind the day she ran away

As the dreams of success quickly faded to dark
And the cruelty of reality soon set in
Pride caused her not to return home to her Father
She then made the choice instead to dance for men

She danced with passion and great skill for others
For her Father had taught her well
But the shame of what she had become had effects upon her
That only her soul could tell

Then the letters began to slowly arrive
She knew what each one would say
Yet she could never bear to read even one
So unopened she filed them all away

Pride had caused her not to return home
Now Shame was holding her there
For if her Father knew what dance she was dancing
Those letters would quickly cease to appear

She longed to make the long journey home
Yet she knew not where to begin
Her desire had turned from dancing for the world
To have one precious moment in her Father’s arms again

Then one day the letter arrived
Delivered somehow by her own Father’s hand
This time she would open it up
Yet she just did not understand

It said “I know where you are and I know what you have been doing
It doesn’t change how I feel about you
I’m still your Father, you are still my child
All I have written in my letters are still true”

As she frantically opened all of the letters
Each one addressed to her name
She began to cry a mountain of tears
For each letter had just one question that was always the same

She barely made it home in time
For the celebration was just about to begin
But there her Father stood waiting for her
Waiting for her to answer Him

She turned to Him “yes” she answered
“If the invitation is still open to me”
And so the two danced, Him holding her tight
Sweet music surrounding them in serenity

On the floor lay the letter with her name
And the Father’s simple request
“Will you come home and dance with me
and lay your head upon my chest?”

The Declaration:

“The Lord is moving us forward as

Ministries. We are looking forward

world" and spread the gospel
through dance!”

What a mighty move of God is taking place in Las Vegas!  The airwaves at
radio stations KCEP Power 88 FM and KKVV 1060 AM were abuzz as Minister
Sabrina McKenzie (
www.sabrinamckenzie.org) and Rekesha Pittman
(
www.rainreinreign.com) were invited as special in-studio guests to discuss
the ministry of dance.  We were blessed and surprised as the Lord opened
another dimension in the movement arena for many ministries.
Our morning began early with Pastor Henry "HB" Black of Power 88 FM.  We arrived at the radio station and took a tour
of this wonderful and historical non-profit radio station.  We were then invited into the studio to share the good news of
a fresh move of God in the Las Vegas region.  Minister McKenzie was able to share the difference between sacred and
secular dance. Our interview lasted about 20 minutes. We thank Pastor Black for his graciousness and showing us
much favor!

Later that afternoon, we were graced to sit with none other than Sister Nina Griffin (
www.sheepfinders.com), who has a
weekly radio show
"Save the Lost al All Cost" on KKVV 1060AM.

Dance on the Airwaves! May 20, 2007

Very special thanks to Webminister Duana Heard (www.churchesinlasvegas.com) for allowing us to dance on the
airwaves May 13th.  Dance ministry in Las Vegas will continue to take to the airwaves! Television is on the horizon...

Here are some awesome things that God is doing as "Dance on the Airwaves" continues to spread throughout the
nations.  Please send us your testimonies as the Lord opens doors for you to "Dance on the Airwaves."

Rekesha,

Your May 2007 article Dance on the Airwaves - ALL OVER THE WORLD truly blessed me!  That was a prophetic utterance from the
throne room of God.  I see this coming to pass before my eyes.  In mid-May I corresponded by email with the Station Manager of KSTL
AM 690, a 24x7 Christian radio station that spans St. Louis and surrounding regions, my inquiry regarding radio advertising for the
Equipping the Saints Conference.

After talking on the phone with her a couple times she wanted to meet with me, I knew then the Lord was setting me up for something
great!  We met on May 31st. We didn't start off talking about advertising -- we talked about the ministry of dance.  After some time had
passed she said "I think I can help you." I am going to be interviewed by her LIVE on a 28 min series called "Getting to Know You"!  Not
only will it be aired live in a prime time slot (July 10th at 4pm CST), but it will be RE-AIRED that week (Wed-Sun) at 5 different times, and
she'll be running a promo commercial announcing that I will be on the show starting in July and stream the broadcast live from the
web at http://
www.690kstl.com

I knew God was setting me up for a blessing, but I had no idea He was going to open the door like this!  I thank HIM and give HIM all the
glory, honor and praise!  I am thanking Him in advance for the revival that is going to spring forth out the Midwest!

Rekesha, I bless God that he used YOU to PIONEER Dance on the Airwaves - ALL OVER THE WORLD.  The best is yet to come!

Merging Media & Ministry: Part I
"Enter View"
by Matthew Pittman
In today’s age, technology is becoming more prevalent than ever. It was almost
a decade ago that if you wanted to share an idea or project with someone, it
meant that you or them had to travel or ship something in the mail. Now with just
the click of a mouse button, you can reach anyone in the world almost
instantaneously.
The traditional way to promote dance concerts, conferences, workshops, etc has been through printed materials.  Much
of the advertising budget is spent on graphics, fliers, brochures, and the ever growing e-blast services.  You can expand
your reach to thousands beyond your geographical region through the internet! It's time to "enter view!"
Let's explore the options available that allow you to share video across the Internet. One of the best ways to do this is
with a popular site called “You Tube.” All you need is a video camera, simple video editing software and a computer.
Often you can transmit the video from your camera to your computer by using either a “firewire” or “USB” cable. From
there, your software’s manual can guide you to get your material to an "uploadable" state. This will either be a wmv, avi,
mpeg or mov file depending on what type of computer you are using. Whether you use a PC or Mac, the choice is yours.

With the wide array of consumer video products, almost anyone with the mindset to achieve can produce a basic quality
standard definition (SD) video. If you feel confident to take of the challenge of basic video production, more power to
you, but just remember a few things: Always use quality media products (video equipment, software and computer
equipment). This does not mean you have to break the bank, so inquire before you purchase to make the best decision.

The following resources are FREE!  You must sign up and register.  Choose your user name carefully.  We do not want
to select an identity that misrepresents the Kingdom...
You Tube

ministries from all over the world! Send video links via e-mail, add to your website or

Gospel Tube
Christian video site that includes a unique Praise Dance & Mime Category! Upload

ministries and sermon clips from all over the world! Send video links via e-mail, add
to your website or your MySpace page. Your video will be available for millions of
people to potentially view.
www.gospeltube.com
MySpace
The #1 most-visited site in the United States! Obtain a unique page as a primary
or secondary website to assist with ministry awareness and events. Upload videos
or embed You Tube or Gospel Tube videos that can be viewed right from your
page!  Your site will be available for millions of people to potentially view.

Be creative have fun, but know your limits. As with many internet pathways, we must remain watchmen on the wall.
Monitor your children and teens to ensure that the content being viewed and uploaded is appropriate for ministry. Be
sure to check personal websites and make necessary corrections for accountability.

Last but not least,
SAVE OFTEN. If Jesus saves, so can you! Now, if you wish to have your media archived or distributed
for “high definition” (HD) in mass numbers, I highly recommend hiring professionals to do these things for you. It will cost
you more than doing it yourself, but you will appreciate the quality of the final product if you are not experienced in doing
this.

Just remember, the world is yours to take the gospel to, so take advantage of it- just be safe while doing it. If you have
any questions pertaining these things feel free to contact me through
Rain Rein Reign. We’re here to help!

Dance Ministry Resource
by Sherry Traylor
"Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. For promotion cometh
neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge:
he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
 Psalm 75:5-7 (KJV)
Murderous/Vengeful
"So the king said, “Who is in the court?” Now Haman had just entered the outer
court of the king’s palace to suggest that the king hang Mordecai on the gallows
that he had prepared for him."
(Esther 6:4)

Who are you murdering with your mouth today? I pray right now for clean hands
and a pure heart in your life at this very moment. Even if you strongly believe
that someone has sinned against you, is operating outside of the will of God, or
any other issue, it is not your job to police them.  Do not feed into this
temptation.  Vengeance is the Lord's.  Jesus serves as our chief example in
John 4:34:
"Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me,
and to finish His work."

If you are involved in the planning of the demise of another, whether directly or
indirectly, you are planing the downfall of yourself!  Leave that ministry and that
dancer in the Lord's hands.  What is the more powerful testimony- that a ministry
you have a problem with is destroyed, or that the Lord restores the ministry just
as we are shown in the example of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32)? Let the
redemptive work of the Lord take place in Jesus name!

Rivers of Praise
Worship Through Movement
This book ministers to worshipers. It is rich with
revelational materials.
                                                 –Apostle David Swan
If you read it, you’ll find you need it. A practical yet
detailed teaching and training handbook for anyone
who is serious, not just about dance, but their
personal relationship with Jesus Christ as a
worshiper.

– Apostles James E. Blue, Jr. and Grace M. Blue.
This book echoes the prophetic voice of the 21st
Century Church to restore the “ARTS” as one of the
vehicles God uses to give birth to true worshipers
in spirit and truth. Very informative, scripturally
sound, and easy reading.
                               – Drs. David and Vernette Rosier
Rachel has written a comprehensive handbook for
the worshiper who desires to express their worship
in a more physically demonstrative manner. Within
its pages can be found a fountain to quench the
thirst in all of us to pursue God with all our hearts
and demonstrate our love for Him through
excellence of character and craft.
                                            – Rev. Yvonne D. Peters
