Dance the Word

For in Him we live and move and have our
being, as also some of your own poets have
said, "For we are also His offspring."

                                                 Acts 17:28

A man's heart plans his way,
But
the LORD directs his steps.

                                   Proverbs 16:9

Lift up a banner on the high mountain,
Raise your voice to them;
Wave your hand,
that they may enter the gates of the nobles.

                                                  Isaiah 13:2

They that wait upon the Lord...WWWWOOOOWWW! Truly there are no words to express what and how our God Jehovah moved at the 2005
Dancing Preachers International Conference!  Demons fled, lives were saved, and faith restored. Information true to the Levitical call was
given and received. Blessings upon blessings were bestowed upon those who love the Lord and are CALLED according to His purpose.

Our director, Mrs. Sabrina McKenzie truly pressed toward the mark of the high calling! A special and sincere "thank you" to all who helped
make this conference a success: Every Pastor, Preacher, host, usher, teacher, speaker, minister, dancer, State Coordinator, vendor,
volunteer - so many people!  A warm appreciation to every attendee. We know that you could go to one of any number of conferences given,
as there are many. It is a special thing to lay down your agenda for the corporate vision to come to fruition. It's all about the Kingdom!  We
look forward to the fruitful blessings you will receive and testimonies to come because of your faithfulness.  We were dynamically blessed
by your presence and pray that YHWH filled your cup to overflowing.

God truly showed up and showed out! A DEBT-FREE conference-- Unheard of! There were abundant blessings as far as the eye could
see. Look at what happens when you let God outside of the box so that He can open the windows of Heaven & pour out a blessing!

Every sponsor came through, making good on their commitments.  All bills were settled, hotel fees paid, etc.  We even had to turn away
about 15 vendors because there wasn't enough space.  There were 750 conference registrants representing about 15 countries. Thank
you Jehovah Jireh for a taste of Heaven!

I spoke with Arthur Usherson, the professional photographer who blessed us immensely with beautiful photos from the conference. He
took almost 1300 photos. EXPERIENCE THE GLORY - click Dancing Preachers at  www.artphotovideo.com.  You may view the pictures on
the site free of charge; However, there is a photo DVD slide show available for purchase (for viewing ONLY) for $30, plus shipping &
handling. You may not take or reproduce individual pictures from the DVD, but it is a wonderful thing to have in your ministry collection.

You may still order Dancing Preachers merchandise:
  1)  T-shirts
  2)  Carry-All / Dance Bag
  3)  Conference videos of general sessions (Morning and Evening)
  4)  Conference DVDs of general sessions  (Morning and Evening)

Let's make sure we keep everyone in our prayers that have been affected by Hurricane Katrina- especially the Dancing Preachers from
Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi. Many of them were unable to make the conference because of the hurricane and quite a few had
already registered.

How good and awesome it will be to see the word spread worldwide regarding the dynamic things YHWH is doing through His "Dancing
Preachers!"
Gospel Today Magazine is doing a feature story on the Dancing Preachers 2005 International Conference which will be in the

Questions Anyone?
I Chronicles 29:11
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty;
For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and
You are exalted as head over all.

Jeremiah 48:42
And Moab shall be destroyed as a people, Because he exalted himself against the LORD.

Matthew 23:12
And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
"MY ministry..."  "MY dancers...." "MY event...."

We can easily get caught up in the "MY, MY, MY" syndrome if we are not mindful of how we talk about ourselves when it concerns the
ministry of dance. Lucifer wanted glory for himself, and as a result, was cast out of the presence of the Lord. In the worship arts arena, we
often receive a lot of 'praise' from people for the gifts that God has given us.

Praise is defined as: An expression of approval. (Webster) We are indeed glad when dance ministers are accepted as part of the worship
experience. We must also remember that it is the Lord who gives favor and opens doors for us.

"I will bless the Lord at ALL times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth." (Psalm 34:1) We have to continue to monitor ourselves to
see if we are trying to share in His Glory.  Although we are to "shew forth His praises," we have to make sure not to give people a 'show,'
and then revel in the accolades afterward. We must keep the line distinct in word and deed.

Some appropriate responses to compliments may be, "I am so glad that the Lord allowed you to be blessed by the dance ministry," and
"We thank God for giving us the opportunity to be here," or simply "Praise the Lord!" We also must remember that people are watching us!
A smile speaks louder than words-- so does a frown or a mean look. We have to make sure that our reactions are genuine, and that we
REALLY DO give all praise and honor to God Almighty.  Ask Him to show you if you are responding in a way that does not bring Him Glory.
A commitment to studying the word of God and a consistent prayer life will help us to keep things in perspective.

Exodus 17:11-13 NKJV
11) And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
12) But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his
hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
13) So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword
What do you call yourself? A Supporter, Assistant Dance Director, Administrative Assistant? It doesn't matter what the 'title' may be. Your
appointment-- your call to Worship is to be responsible for assisting your Dance Leader in fulfilling the VISION of the ministry through your
obedience, gifts, talents, time, finances (where applicable), and most importantly, PRAYER!

It is not good to wander through the ministry without much of a vision.  We must believe God, trust our leaders, and know that  the vision is
from the Lord for the ministry that he or she is leading. Yes, this can sometimes be frightening, but that is where you as a supporter or
dance assistant must "seek first the kingdom of God and all of His righteousness."  The Word of God, wisdom, discernment and the vision
of the leader will be added unto you.

We must have the heart of service and the desire to serve. Those that were with Moses saw that the leader was weary, and stepped in to
support  him. As long as Moses hands remained lifted, they were winning the battle. We need to do the same for our leaders. We must
assist them in obedience so that victory is obtained.

An assistant must be capable of making wise decisions, while being committed to the vision and the work of the ministry. Be available!
Humble yourself while working with different skill levels of dancers, talents, gifts and weaknesses (of self and of others), while helping your
dance leader to strengthen the entire body.

Have you checked your equipment for this great battle? Be prayerful! Pay attention!  Be a watchman! Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, your
leader, and fellow dancers-- especially during the time of rehearsal and ministry appointments. We cannot afford to operate in the mode of
bitterness, jealousy, envy, self-righteousness, pride, or glory-seeking. How can we operate in the VISION without being open to be led by
the Spirit?  It is NOT about us!

Support is important in a ministry.  Are you using your spiritual gifts to help support your leader and the ministry?  Ask yourself, what is your
priority: becoming like Christ, or getting a chance to use your gifts to be seen and publicly acknowledged?  Your gifts of service, talents, and
abilities should build up your leader as well as your fellow dancers. The goal should be to win souls for Christ by discipline through dance,
as well as to encourage and bring unity in the ministry.  If you are not quite there yet, check your attitude, mindset, personal agenda and
your spirit.
"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is
not in vain in the Lord. "
1 Corinthians 15:58

God has placed His dancers as soldiers in this great army! We cannot win this war or souls for Christ if we are a faulty support system!
Nothing makes the kingdom of God more attractive to unbelievers than those whose lives are characterized by the fruit of the Spirit.  On the
other hand, nothing is a greater stumbling block for non-Christians than believers whose lives are characterized by the deeds and acts of
the flesh. Jesus said it this way:
"Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father
who is in heaven."
Matt 5:16
Key Principles For The Dancer: The Call To A Worship Lifestyle
by Sherry Traylor
Key Verse:
John 4:23-24, "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and
truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship in spirit and in
truth." (NIV)

Application Steps:
Think about your attitude towards worship. Is it routine? Is it exciting? Try one new way to worship God this week. This
might include using praise music in a different setting, reading a Psalm out loud, making a list of God's attributes, or
attending a different church (in addition to your own) that worships in a different way than you are used to.

Reflection Points:  Read John 4:1-26.

* What holds you back from worshiping God with your whole heart?

* What are different ways to worship God?

* How can you increase the intimacy in your worship?

Power Verses:
Luke 4:8 - Jesus answered, "It is written: Worship the Lord your God and serve him only." (NIV)
